INSPECTION, NDT & SHM
This track focuses on NDT and SHM technologies to ensure the integrity of nonmetallic systems, such as RTP/RTR pipes, joints, linings, tanks, and vessels made from HDPE, GFRP, and CFRP, used in the oil and gas sector.
Key Objectives
Benchmark, adapt, and validate advanced NDT solutions for nonmetallic systems in harsh environments.
Detect and assess critical defects, with a focus on adhesive joint integrity.
Develop noninvasive methods to monitor environmental aging and predict residual life using advanced high-frequency and resonance-based approaches.
Enable in-situ tracking of cure progression in thermosets via novel electromagnetic and spectroscopic approaches.
Establish frameworks for continuous monitoring and early warning using SHM sensors.
Integrate NDT/SHM technologies into handheld, robotic, and in-line tools for real-time field diagnostics.
Collaboration Opportunities
The track actively seeks single client projects (SCPs) and joint industrial projects (JIPs) with:
NDT Service Providers: Collaborate on field trials, inspection protocol development, and technology benchmarking.
SHM Developers: Co-develop sensor systems, hardware, and analytics for field-ready SHM solutions.
Academic Partners: Engage in joint research, student supervision, and advanced method development in materials, sensing, and data analytics.
We welcome collaboration on innovative studies and joint funding opportunities. If you're interested in partnering with the ENERCOMP Inspection, NDT & SHM team, feel free to get in touch; your expertise can help drive meaningful impact.
